This is where you’ll find new windows that didn’t fit, excess timber, tools that were bought for a single purpose and are now orphans and lots, lots more. Maybe you’ve got something taking up space that you could could sell or swap? You can have it listed in minutes.

Real Workshops
There was a time when everyone had at least basic building skills. Over the years, as work has become increasingly specialised many of us still have the will but not the skill to be a Do it Yourselfer! Enter OBN Events. Sure they’re social, but they are also about gaining the skills you need to succeed.
Do you want to find out how to get the right finish on plasterboard? Perhaps you’d like to lay a floating floor but don’t know how. Maybe you just want to learn how to use a cut-off saw or find out if you’re really up to pouring that carport slab. You get real hands-on experience at our events. And you’ll be helping other members.
You see, we don’t hold our workshops in a hall or a hardware store. We hold them on-site at a member’s project! So now turn it around… what event could you run at your home? What can you teach others while they help you get the job done? If you need a bit of professional help there’s plenty waiting. Would you swap a sandwich and a beer for a couple of hours guidance by a fully qualified tradesperson? Thought so!
Is that your brain asking “Why would a tradesperson do that”? Because we all win by giving. That tradesperson stands to gain a lot of work each time he or she reaches out and offers assistance to others. How many times will you recommend them? In fact, you’ve probably got some paying work there right now for them!
